Fine Food and Drink

Episode 1: Kenny offers everyone at the first Stuckeybowl staff meeting a scone. Ed designs "Strike burgers" to be served instead of plain old hamburgers. Dr. Jerome serves Nancy and Mike "sacrastic sandwiches". Ed and Carol discuss hazelnuts, and after her departure, Mike announces the diner has pork chops for lunch. Warren carves Carol`s name in Jello and brings a can of aerosol whipped cream to add to the fun. Socrates asks his associate to bring Ed a vodka. Carol and Ed go to Smokehouse Billy`s, the place for ribs, on their first date, after which Ed thanks Carol for not ordering an appetizer. Finally, Ed`s inspiration for placing the law office in the bowling alley is that there are Starbucks coffee bars inside bookstores.

Episode 2: Nick dazzles an uncertain Carol with a candlelit picnic in the back of his truck. Ed and Mike wait for Carol to come from getting coffee so Ed can "accidentally" run into her. Ed later excuses himself from Mike and Nancy`s romantic interlude by going to get a cookie. A bored kid hits Stuckeyville Stan in the head with a Pop-Tart. Ed reminisces about the time he prepared scrambled eggs for his wife with a spatula he finds in the boxes shipped from New York. In court, Stuckeyville Stan makes a turkey dance. Phil orders 5,000 salt and pepper shakers for the snack bar.

Episode 3: Mike hides behind the guise of "Pancake Mouse" when Nancy gets upset with him. Waffles are also a family favorite. The $10 bet involves a bottle of syrup (see above). One of Ed`s new clients asks if he can have some bowling alley "natch-os". The order must be explained to a confused Shirley. It is later revealed that the same client blew his life savings trying to start a broasted chicken restaurant. Kenny reveals that he makes homemade root beer. At Stuckeyville High, Warren uses hand puppets to act out the scene in which Oliver Twist asks for more gruel. In Phil`s bid to become manager of Stuckeybowl, he brings in a customer who claims Phil baked him a cake when he broke 200. When Carol asks Ed about the woman with whom Nick set him up in the bar, Ed replies Marie was too full of schnapps for his liking.

Episode 4: Carol realizes her relationship with Nick is at a standstill, based on her inability to throw him a waffle at breakfast. Ed later throws waffles at Carol`s window. When she lets him in, he comes bearing ice cream sundae fixings. Dr. Jerome finds that the only thing wrong with Mike`s examination of him is that he neglects to offer a lollipop.

Episode 5: Mike brings home all the fixin`s for "frites"--Belgian fries--to assuage Nancy`s desire to make their lives more interesting and meaningful. Nick explains to Carol that they can`t be friends because "when you can`t eat the cake and have the cake".

Episode 6: Mayor Kendricks indulges his fondness for Toblerones. Ed is shocked that the Suzeechio stand has been closed. Mayor Kendricks`s secretary announces that she is going to make Ed "a KEY LIME PIE!" for helping her figure out her crossword puzzle.

Episode 7: Phil engages in a scam for Thanksgiving involving "Fine Corinthian turkeys" (see above). Mike dares Ed to ask for "laytoos" instead of lettuce. Carol laments the loss of the sugared lemon tradition. Ed cooks up a 50 pound meatloaf for Thanksgiving dinner. Gavin is injured by a flying canteloupe.

Episode 8: Molly`s grandfather bequeaths Ed all the Beef-a-roni he stocked up for Y2K, as well as grilling Ed on his love of Indian food. Ed remembers his pet turtle (which he bought from Molly`s grandfather)choking on a piece of Chewels gum. Molly discusses the tempting treat sherbet.

Episode 9: Ed himself eats and then feeds to Troy dog food on a cracker. Troy declares that beer always tastes better in Stuckeyville!

Episode 10: Carol offers a Fruit Roll Up to whichever of the JV girls can bounce the basketball highest. Molly and Nancy distract Carol from talk about her treatment of them and others like them with some "shepherd-licious" sheperd`s pie.

Episode 12: Dr. Mike introduces his first born daughter to "one of life`s finest pleasures", aerosol whipped cream. Ed orders the aforementioned Shirley Temple...

Episode 13: Episode 13 was a gastric delight: bundt cake, calamari, beef jerky, gnocchi, egg rolls, nacho cheese, wonton soup, kielbasa, buckets of fried chicken, and hot dogs. Ed and Matt imbibed Rob Roys and martinis.

Episode 15: Jeff offers to get Carol a Tom Collins or a Slow Gin Fizz during their dinner with Ed and Bonnie. When Big Rudy magnanimously announces that all drinks at Stuckeybowl are on him, Ed offers to pitch in free beer nuts.

Episode 17: This episode is another festival of fine food. Ed touts the gastric delights of peanut butter and bacon sandwiches to a disbelieving Mike, who must then admit that Ed did turn him on to the phenomenon of Cheez-Whiz and SweetTarts. Shirley receives revelation of change while ordering Combos pretzel snacks, while Carol compares Coach Corwin`s intellect to that of a Pop-Tart. Dr. Jerome`s sadistic play about Mike begins when Wendy, the receptionist, hands Mike a box of popcorn to eat while enjoying the show. Dr. Jerome also suggests in his play that Mike earned his medical degree from a box of Fruit Loops.

Episode 18: A smitten Carmella grills Mike about his preference for sausage patties versus links. Mike pretends to choke on Carmella`s Bundt cake. Later, Carmella offers to make Nancy a cup of Taster`s Choice while they chat. While Mark pours orange drink in the locker of a classmate, Cara reveals that she dumped a Friendly`s Fribble on her then fiance, George, when she discovered he was cheating on her. Warren gets some mayonnaise for his french fries, where Nancy snags him and asks him to help her test Carmella. Warren does so by telling Carmella to "bite the forbidden apple". Carol reveals that Mrs. G. once took her to the pie shop when she was feeling low, and Mrs. G. asks Carol to take her place there with Mark later to help him solve some of his problems.

Episode 19: Jamie Masters affords this week`s episode with lots of food opportunity. He comes to Ed`s office munching on Twizzlers. He spruces up his doctor`s summary of his condition by saying he`s one burrito away from exploding. Pop Tarts, pudding, and Jello also draw mention. He mentions a number of diets he`s been on, including the Jared Fogel Subway diet. His brother video tapes him eating pizza in his shorts. The ten dollar bet involves wedding cake. Ed, Carol, Mike, and Nancy enjoy popcorn and soda in the alley. Ari and Barbara write to KFC to see if Colonel Sanders is available to be best man at their wedding. While it is revealed that the colonel is actually dead, KFC extends its congratulations with coupons for free honey BBQ wings. Ed later dresses up as the Colonel to fulfill their wishes.

Episode 20: Carol offers the architectural specialist some root beer.

Episode 21: Kenny reveals that he ate 128 shrimp at a buffet in Las Vegas. Dr. Jerome ok`s the menu choice of filet mignon. Ed takes five sugars in his coffee, and thanks Carol for remembering. Stuckeybowl`s Vegas Night serves up a fine cocktail of Hi-C and vodka.

Episode 22: Mrs. Riley stores all her food at Stuckeybowl so it won`t go bad while the power is off. She instructs Kenny to take particular care with a pan of Swedish meatballs. Ron and Ed munch on candy from Ed`s bowling pin candy container. Ed and Carol, in an awkward moment, discuss coffee and caffeine. Mark reveals that his Uncle Scooter choked to death on a piece of marzipan. He laters offers his prom date punch, but she refuses. When Ed gets Mrs. Riley`s power back on, she makes him a meatloaf as thanks.

Episode 23: Ed claims that Bonnie has interrupted his and Carol`s very important discussion about raisins. Mike invents the "Donagel"--half donut, half bagel. Warren scoffs at spending another night eating his mom`s zucchini bread when Mark suggests they skip FosCat`s party. Warren is later busted for bringing a keg of beer to that party. Ed nervously twirls spaghetti on his fork when dining with Bonnie.

Episode 24: Dennis Martino likes his coffee black, while Ed likes his with a cream and 5 sugars. Shirley offers everyone Mexican soda she purchased off the internet. She even makes her offer in Spanish. Dennis Martino upsets Carol while she, Molly, and Ed are dining on burgers. Mike offers to order Dr. Jerome some Chinese food, and he requests two egg rolls, hunan chicken, shrimp fried rice, and lots of duck sauce. Kenny suggests Kudos bars as an antidote to fatigue. Carol packs cream cheese and watercress sandwiches to stake out George/Rick, but Ed scoffs, saying real detectives eat stale donuts and drink coffee. Ed sucks on a Tootsie Pop while Carol enjoys her sandwich.

Episode 26: Ed asks the waitress to wrap one french fry. Dr. Crazy`s wife runs off with a chocolatier. Jim claims that all species which did not discover frosting have died off. Mike will not let Molly leave until he finishes his beer--a ploy to keep her at the Goat till Jim arrives. Shirley likes her eggs runny while Ed prefers his over easy. Molly compares her willpower to that of a lima bean. Jim`s friend eats 25 hamburgers. Dr. Crazy eats test tubes and beakers on his show and imbibes cosmos afterwards. Diane claims that she came to the pep rally after being infused with pep from some expired cottage cheese.

Episode 27: Carol offers Ed a Velamint in exchange for helping Sonja. When Molly tells Jim that his kiss was just a kiss, he likens the comment to saying that vichysoisse is just soup. Mike`s "emergency appendectomy" patient claims Mike looks more like a butcher than a doctor.

Episode 28: Ed discards an old hot dog as he opens Stuckeybowl. Shirley`s rival at Joe Baxter`s offers visitors saltines and toaster pastries. The gang gathers at Carol`s for dinner, where Nancy gets a little tipsy, laughing about Ed keeping his persona in a cookie jar.

Episode 29: Carol bumps into Dennis as he is exiting the pie shop. Nancy launches a new line of cookies at the local farmer`s market, only to discover that because they are so good, they draw the ire of fellow cookie vendors at the market.

Episode 30: The ten dollar bet revolves around potato chips. Carol disputes Ed`s claim that there isn`t a single food he doesn`t like. She specifically asks him about okra, liver, dog, and gefilte fish. Ed claims to like them all.

Episode 31: Mike meanders through the kitchen naked, eating a Pop Tart. Ed`s favorite gift ever was receiving a Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine in the third grade. Shirley provides egg nog to folks waiting to benefit from Mr. Prescott`s generosity. Dennis asks Carol to help him out with the teacher`s Christmas party, requesting that she pick up the cake from the pie shop. Ed must pick up one Stuckeyvillian`s bread machine, causing heartbreak for the poor woman. Carol and Molly inadvertantly block the potato salad at the teacher`s party. One item for auction at the charity party is dinner at the Stuckeyville Dog Track`s Champagne Room.

Episode 32: While Ed is tending bar, a patron asks for a bourbon. Ed attempts to get this man to say "tater tots", but all he initially comes up with are french fries and string beans. Warren compliments Jakey on his super giant corn chips before dumping mozarella sticks in his own lap. Mark and Diane prepare tortillas and peppers in Spanish club. Shirley offers Gary Saringo a corn dog. Mike wants to celebrate his freedom with champagne and caviar. Nancy brings Mike Steak-ums. Warren invites Jessica to Starbucks for a latte, mochachino, or Tiazi. Dr. Jerome compares playing pool to "pickin` chicken".

Episode 33: {li}Ed and Carol meet for breakfast and she enjoys the "Lumberjack."{li}Dennis invites Carol out for Chinese food. {LI}Strawberry Tall Cake - one of Phil & Kenny`s culinary inventions.{LI}The Grape Sandwich - one of Phil & Kenny`s culinary inventions.{LI}Chowder Dogs - one of Phil & Kenny`s culinary inventions (available in both Boston and Manhattan styles).{LI}Stuckeyville Wings - one of Phil & Kenny`s culinary inventions (which bear more than a passing resemblance to Buffalo Wings).

Episode 34: Mike tries to tempt Nancy away from her lesson plan with ice cream and a coupon for free jimmies. He recalls a sub who once got hit in the back of the neck with a honeydew melon. Shirley remembers how on her twelfth birthday, she got carried away with malted milk balls. An excited Nancy announces the cafeteria will be serving Chicken A La King for lunch. Kate claims to be able to taste a french fry and tell plus or minus 15 minutes when the oil was changed. Young David`s favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. Carol brings Ed string cheese as a pick-me-up.

Episode 35: Nancy offers the gang cashews. Larry`s young son, Ryan, offers Mike and Ed clam dip, wine, and beer.

Episode 35: Warren suggests that he & Jessica go to Arthur Treacher`s Fish & Chips in his station wagon.

Episode 36: Kenny offers everyone beer. Carol switches Dennis`s regular coffee with creme brulee flavored coffee. Jen`s laundry man laments the task of getting cheese fondue out of suede. The cafeteria lady claims the salisbury steak is made from "turkey-beef". Jen and Ed share a dinner at the Lewises` home, where they indulge in chicken, mashed potatoes, and lots of Hershey`s syrup. Rice pudding is mentioned with regards to the cafeteria, and Molly compliments Jim on the way he normally eats his corned beef hash.

Episode 37: Shirley claims to invent a sandwich made with only one piece of bread, which Ed tries to tell her is called an open faced sandwich. She reserves the right to name it herself. Carol gets herself and Dennis Cokes. One of the truckers composes a little poem about Shirley: "Shirley blue eyes queen of coffee, Shirley blue eyes, smooth as toffee." Phil invents edible air fresheners. The lowly rutabega even garners mention.

Episode 38: Ed asks Carol if Dennis eats at Denny`s. One of Judge Donnelly`s "punishments" is a prize of a frozen turkey. Carmela claims to have eaten too many pancakes. While stranded in the woods, Ed and Carol dine on taffy, which Ed claims to always have with him. Mike and Nancy share a pizza, one half plain, one half pepperoni, reminiscint of their days as newlyweds.

Episode 39: Lloyd claims metaphorically speaking that he and Ed will be eating oranges the size of cantelopes when the bowling alley franchise takes off. Nancy offers Billy Joel lovers a bottle of white or a bottle of red. Lloyd gets Molly and Carol hot dogs from the snack bar, and Molly likes her dogs with sauerkraut and mustard, although Lloyd incorrectly guesses onions. Stevie tells Nancy, Carol, and Molly that he loves wings, and orders a cobb salad after Nancy leaves from their second lunch date. Lloyd bargains the beer guy down to 12.50/case. He later leaves town to get involved in a buffalo burger chain in Vegas.

Episode 40: Louis, the nurse at Dr. Jerome`s, smells like pot roast. Phil tries to take loads of food from the snack counter for his jazz brunch. Shirley likes swedish fish. Phil wants an omelette bar as a perk for employees. Carol contemplates writing a story about a woman who loves hashbrowns. Molly convinces her to write about a pumpkin grower. Ed has popcorn as he and Mike stroll down main street. Mike and Nancy eat brownies as Mike tells her about the lawsuit. Phil offers the AFL-CIO guys a Dagwood sandwich. Carol covers the Stuckeyville bakeoff, and is offered bundt cake, while one of the bakers talks about the time she made apple pie with rancid butter.

Episode 42: Dennis cooks Carol an omelette made of 7 eggs. Warren insists the rabbi have a cran-grape. Molly, Mike, Ed, and Nancy share their baked clams with Dennis. Roy claims his weight was gained by eating salted nuts. Ed and Gary share pizza and milkshakes. Roy wants to finish his tuna melt before getting in a shouting match with Carl. Ed tells Carol Dennis is an ass and offers her a french fry. Dennis admits his weekness for fine imported scotch.

Episode 43: Ed thinks that grapes are the most delicious foodstuff, while Mike counters with his preferred bacon. A nervous Warren expounds on the history of french fries. Senior class presidential hopeful Tamil Musharraf hopes to discuss a very big bake sale. Ed films the hot dog stand where he ate on his first day back in Stuckeyville. Warren offers Diane oysters. Carol sees an old home movie of herself eating fudge on a boardwalk.

Episode 44: A local merchant claims it`s against his religion to discount cheese. Dennis is incredulous that Ed wants to order a bakery cake because he is taking Carol out to dinner. Ed counters by asking Dennis if he likes marzipan. Ed bursts in on Carol and Dennis`s dinner, chickening out of his real intent by reminding them to try the consomme. He later points out to Mike that a man doesn`t order braised short ribs unless there`s a special occasion. Warren tries to get Ed to commiserate with him by getting sloppy drunk. Ed compares his Dennis-Carol situation to purchasing a melon.

Episode 45: Molly drops the "Welcome home, Carol!" cake at Stuckeybowl. Shirley is impressed to discover they serve Sunny Delight at the local lockup. Eli freaks out when Shirley puts ketchup on a pretzel. Warren orders himself and a sad Carol a couple of slow gin fizzes.

Episode 46: Mark dines on Ring Dings and Ding Dongs for breakfast, claiming they are only another in a long line of pastries which people have been enjoying in the morning for years, including croissants. Diane suggests cereal. Carmella insists on keeping Mike`s tongue depressors in a mayonnaise jar, saying everyone loves mayonnaise. Ed steals several of Mike`s lollipops in his giddy delight over Carol asking him out for a drink. Mark eventually gives in and eats rice cakes and garden salads, of which he declares croutons to be hidden gold. Eli covers Phil`s shirt in ketchup when he refuses to cooperate. Warren attempts to console Mark that the bacon cheeseburger is not all that good. Mark steals one of Warren`s fries and eventually helps himself to a plate when he and Diane argue, declaring the chef a genius for adding extra salt. Mark says the pageant MC looks like he swallowed a bundt cake. Eli wants to turn Phil`s ass into taffy. Mark loves slow cooked BBQ ribs.

Episode 47: Ed orders an apple martini, which he points out he can`t get on the road, although Dennis points out that he certainly can get one on the road. Molly compares Dennis to bunchberries and bayberries, while Carol prefers to think of him as a plum or nectarine. Molly and Carol mull over fish stick Friday and Macaroni Monday. Ed hungrily eats some eggs at a local Stuckeyville eatery before heading off on his road trip and later offers Frank jerky.

Episode 48: Nancy replaces her and Mike`s typical french roast coffee with an Ethiopian blend in an attempt to shake things up a little.

Episode 49: Shirley claims the world started going to hell when McDonald`s quit deep frying their apple pies. She then serves Mike a deep fried pie. Eli used to run a fish and chips place in Stuckeyville. Rich tries to order Carol a marguerita in the Goat. When Rich finds out he`s cancer-free, he says hello to red meat again.

Episode 50: Molly has to endure turkey tetrazinni day on her own. Carol compares her brain to that of a fried oyster. Ed gets a stripper to lick whipped cream off Dennis`s nose. Shirley checks to be sure none of the strippers is allergic to jello. Jen likes the fact that the appetizer sampler comes with five kinds of sauce: honey mustard, bleu cheese, ranch, marinara, and gravy. Mike orders a fruit tart.

Episode 51: Stella asks Warren to get her a Colt 45; he offers her a Colt 46. They later share ice cream while visiting the local cemetary. Willie the Horse Man says hoof slide will make the horse look like Dorothy Hamill after a fifth of Kahlua when it gets into the church. Rich Vessey wooed Carol`s mom by purchasing 30 of her favorite peach pies and bringing them to her. Carol is too nervous to eat her Swedish pancakes. Jen shows Ed a peanut butter and jelly time website.

Episode 52: Molly and Nancy try to cheer Carol up with a girl`s night only fiesta featuring tortilla chips and guac`(amole). Shirley asks for soup when Nancy offers the "planning committee" some refreshments. Ed eats what Carol assumes is the last hot dog in Stuckeybowl. She later finds out he has lots of food and he fixes her a bacon cheeseburger omelette, and says his mother told him that comfort food is always better with enough butter to oil the state of Wyoming. Carol`s father used to make her and her siblings fried bologna sandwiches. Ed turns himself into Mr. Pickle Bun Eyes for Carol`s amusement.

Episode 53: Mark gets Funions from a vending machine. He later eats a hot dog as "an appetizer" and then a cheeseburger with grilled tomato. Warren speculates the Spanish word for "positively" is chimichanga. Mark`s dad hides his consumption of pepperoni from his wife.

Episode 54: Phil consumes massive amounts of cakes, cheeses, and other foodstuffs in a bid to make himself huge, whereby he can lose all the weight and become Sam`s Hoagies`s hero. When Sam refuses, Phil attempts to wreak his revenge by dressing up in a fat suit and telling Sam`s customers that he got that big by eating at Sam`s.

Episode 55: Ed and Frankie share BLT`s. Mark has a list of favorite foods and ingredients, as well as a list of foods he will be eating after the surgery, including: scrambled eggs, pasta, caviar, spinach and artichoke dip, risotto, duck l`orange, lamb, pesto, brie, squid, and truffles. Warren and Diane tell the tale of a barbaric killer whose last meal of choice was chicken nuggets and tater tots. Tim`s father wants a chai latte.

Episode 56: Frankie and Ed debate about putting ketchup and mustard on hot dogs. An admirer orders Carol a glass of wine and himself a glass of Johnny Walker. The "Prohibitionists" at the murder mystery party come up with any number of amusing names for their "moonshine". Shirley likes sour cream and ketchup on her hotdogs, while Phil goes for onions and mustard, and Eli is all for chili and cheese.

Episode 57: Ed gives Mike a frozen turkey dinner after he bowls a "turkey". Shirley offers the focus group Chiclets. Frankie offers a jittery Carol coffee, claiming it is a special ultra decaf laced with elephant tranquilizers. Ed, Molly, Frankie, and Carol all order various steaks when going to the Red Coach. Ed tops the group with a 48 ounce "Coachmaster", and wonders how much they`d pay him if he would eat two.

Episode 58: Ed makes a big pot of soup, only to have Frankie inform him it is stew, due to a lack of water in the recipe, a problem which Ed rectifies with Frankie`s help. Molly brings chili to the firehouse for the firemen. Later, she samples a bowl of "Death Awaits" chili made by the men, and must consume mass quantities of water to douse the flames in her mouth. Danny and Jeff were imbibing beer before the accident which took Jeff`s life.

Episode 59: This episode abounds with yummies, including Gouda, scrambled duck eggs, corn on the cob, coffee, and of course, Mark`s protein shakes.

Episode 60: Warren and Stella can`t seem to agree on pizza toppings during the Goat`s game show.

Episode 61: Duncan, owner of the Smiling Goat, wants to sue a competitor over the filching of his famous Appeteaser, the Skintacular. Ed eats peanut butter and pickles in an attempt to have a lucid dream. A nine foot tall Nancy eats aerosol cheese in Ed`s dream.

Episode 63: Mike mistakenly eats potpourri. Mike and Nancy sip merlot by a romantic fire. Ed wears a honeydew helmet to try and cheer up a disconsolate Sarah. Barbara Berenger serves everyone fresh pan-fried trout for breakfast.

Episode 64: Mike compares Carol`s bowling prowess to that of a crouton. Frankie prepares New England clam chowder for herself and Ed. Mr. Waslouis`s hobby is cooking chili. Eli is disgusted to taste fish and chips made without his special recipe. Ed orders everyone hot dogs, for which Shirley makes him pay. Later, Frankie makes a play on the hot dogs in a bid to make a wordle of her own name.

Episode 65: Phil fixes a tray of food for Michael Winslow which includes M&M`s separated by color and still and sparkling water. Warren attempts to order a 7 and 7 from the bartender, who will not serve him alcohol. Thus he switches from Fresca to 7Up. He later fashions the words "Kill me" out of ketchup and french fries. Ed compliments Frankie on her meatloaf. Molly disguises a sympathetic container of ice cream by first offering Carol a veal chop.

Episode 68: Nancy recalls Mike attempting to stuff 100 blueberries in his mouth. Carol throws a bag of chips at Ed, which prompts a flashback to when his ex-wife whipped a pack of bacon at him.

Episode 72: Mike orders a bahama mama at the bar instead of the usual beer. Brain size is compared to Chiclets and Tic Tacs by a Dr.-Jerome-prompted Mike.

Episode 74: Dr. Soper offers Ed coffee, but Ed prefers root beer. Ed suggests to Carol that they eat out at Stuckeyville`s Pakistani or Persian restaurants.

Episode 75: Russ Burton tries to deep fry the Burton`s Thanksgiving turkey. Shirley agrees to help with Eli`s Stuckeybowl Thanksgiving if she can be in charge of the yams `and all yam-related activities.` Phil inquires about Shirley`s favorite cold cut (which is American cheese, incidentally).

Episode 79: Carol enjoys tater tots. Ed and Liz share a sausage pizza, their old favorite.

Episode 80: While trying to decide where to spend their honeymoon in Hawaii or Cancun, Ed and Carol meet at the Smiling Goat for a Mexican Luau. They sip Mai Tais and Margaritas. Nancy and Gunter bake cookies.
