One of the few episodes where I started doing other things while watching. Where was Mike? Where was Carol? Where`s Warren? Pretty lame story line. I like the court stuff, but this was overkill.

I hated this episode of Ed! Well, maybe hate is too strong of a word, but I did not like it. One of the things I looked forward to all week long is Wednesday night. I love to forget about everything else that`s going on in the world and just spend some time with those great characters that I love so much. By the end of "The Case" I was annoyed. This is not the happy, funny, friendly Stuckeyville I know! I don`t watch Ed for courtroom drama. Ok, I enjoyed seeing Carol on the stand, but that`s the only drama I can stand for. Having a murder case as the major storyline was a mistake. Maybe the writers thought they could attract some Law & Order viewers with the case. If that was the idea, boy was it a bad one. The murder case was silly. Climbing a statue of a baby holding a hot dog? Give me a break. That`s dumb. And even though it was nice to see Frankie and Carol giving Ed the support he needed, I think we all knew that he`d win the case in the end. I don`t like Ryan the dork. No one is that dorky! It`s like they took every stereotypical aspect of a dork and threw them all together. He sometimes has a good line or two, but overall, I feel no connection to him, and could care less what happens to him. I have equal disinterest in his dad. Boring. And it makes me sick seeing him and Molly flirting. Who acts like that around guys? Molly is so level-headed and down to earth I have problems believing she`d freak out over what to wear to lunch with a guy. That was a complete Carol moment. Remember "Your Life is Now" in season one? Exact same scene, roles reversed. Bringing chili to a fireman? Come on. That`s lame. Why must she try so hard to be cute? She`s cute the way she is. What was wrong with the fire chief who wanted to date a Wilma? That was awful. But I did enjoy all the firemen checking Molly out every time she walked into the station. Then there was the absence of half of the cast. Shirley, Phil, Mike, Nancy, Warren, Diane, and Mark. Would it have been so hard to throw any of them a line or two? They all bring a lot of comic relief to the show, and this episode could have used some of that. The only saving grace for me was the Ed/Carol/Frankie interaction. It was nice to see Frankie and Ed get closer. It was great to see Carol approaching Ed and Ed ignoring Carol. I love this show so much, and that`s the only reason I`m trashing it so badly. I`m so attached, I feel I have the right. This episode just felt forced and contrived. Something was missing to make it whole. And what sucks is that I finally persuaded some of my family to watch with me. They were not impressed, to say the least. The same situation occured when I got my brother to watch "Neighbor." They think the show sucks, because they saw episodes that happened to suck. It seems like Ed has been all over the place this season. I wish they`d find the show`s voice again. I`m hoping next week`s episode will be better. Then I can come and give it a glowing review and apologize for all the nasty things I said this week.

I loved the show but Molly`s character is really making me mad. Apparently as a principle, one has all day to do what they want and fall in love with Biff. I like that Molly became principle but at least act like one. This whole principle character is not even believable!

Overall a decent episode. I loved to see some actual seriousness for a change in the show. And Frankie absolutely rocks. I love her! She`s almost like a cooler, female version of Ed and she brings a whole lot of energy and spunk to the show. And she does a great job in this episode (from her chilli thoughts, to her courtroom antics). I wonder if all principal jobs are as easy as Molly`s? :)

The problem with neighbors and makeovers was that they failed to live up to the expectations of the previous episode "trapped". I think the same is true for this episode. Hyennas and Wildebeests was a great episode and this one was a little weaker. But overall I liked the competion between Frankie and Carol. Not enough Mike and it was a very emotional episode unlike the last few. Amen AMDG

This epsiode sucked. The only thing I thought was interesting was the way Carol was acting towards Ed. The thing I didn`t get was that in episode #59, Ryan`s dad came in pissed off because his son was telling him about bullies. Then, in this episode, we are trying to be convinced that Ryan DOESN`T talk to his dad. My point is, in ep. 59, Ryan talks to his dad about everything and won`t talk to Molly and in ep. 60, he won`t talk to his dad, but he`ll talk to Molly. What the heck? I can`t even begin to list the unrealistic/unbelievable things in this episode. I was waiting for Ed to have to try a murder case. I thought it would be good, AND BELIEVABLE. The trial was muddy and still left me wondering if Dany Martin murdered Jeff Dyer. Why was Ed so quick to believe Danny Martin? I am not too crazy about this writer...

OK episode. Loved the court plot. Great to see Ed as human, not as a superquirky action hero. Kind of cheesy ending, happening to stumble across the Rockin` the baby quote. Terrible Molly subplot. Unbelievable, awkward, and shallow. A little Carol-Ed interaction just to keep us interested. Love Frankie. Where`s the Doc? Need a lot more of him.

Wow- I`m surprised to see such positive reviews of this episode- for my tastes, it rivaled "Neighbors" as far and away the least enjoyable of the season to date. Glad the others of you enjoyed it, though. I understand the storyline dictated a more somber tone but with no Mike, Shirley, Phil, Warren, and a serious Eli the quirky fun quotient was way down. As for the court case, I`m not looking for "Law and Order" realism but it was too unbelievable to draw me in. While I have always liked and appreciated Molly and her insights and sensiblity-- I`m liking her less in her magnified role as principal. To wrap up on a more positive note, I suppose four moments salvaged the episode for me: Frankie`s stew/soup diatribe at the beginning, bringing Ed soup at the end (reflecting both her thoughtfulness and continued cleverness), her Michael Jordan insight, and-- the true redeeming moment of the show for me-- her spontaneous hug of Ed with Carol looking on-- I found that emotionally gripping.

I enjoyed this episode. It was great to have a case focused show. Only, I missed mike . Want Ed to stay away from Frankie.....stay away from women for a few episodes. I`m glad Molly is seeing some romance. Little corny tho.

I`ll do my best to only post this once:-) I thought last night`s episode was outstanding. It was good to see Ed questioning his abilities--like most humans--and needing to rely on the support of others. Three cheers for Carol who recognized that he needed this support and was there for him. And of course Frankie, who despite her inexperience, seemed to provide Ed with just what he needed to regain his confidence and win the case--hey it`s a TV show, what do you want? I look forward to the upcoming episodes which obviously deal with Frankie and Ed`s growing attraction to each other, and Carol`s reaction this serious competition for Ed`s affections.

I thought this episode was good, even though it was fairly predictable. You knew Ed was going to win the case. There was no way he couldn`t. Even so, it was still interesting watching the process and him actually showing doubts. Much of the time, Ed is the "superman" of the group. Always thinking he can do anything. Which is good. It gives him a level of confidence he needs to be a lawyer. But with this episode, it brought Ed down a little out of the superman plane and down to being more of a real person. If that makes any sense. I like the fact that we know have a romantic interest for Molly. Too much of the time, it`s all Ed & Carol. I think it`s cute and lets us see more of who Molly is. But the situation in which they decided to develop the relationship between Molly & Biff, I mean Sean, did seem a bit too convenient. It`s something you would expect from another show, but not necessarily Ed. The writers have always been very inventive in their writing. But I suppose not everyone is perfect all the time. All in all, it was a pretty good episode, but I think it could have been even better.

I thought last night`s episode was excellent in many ways. For instance, the case was more substantive than most. However, I am not used to "ED" taking the easy course on things. Did anyone else have a problem with the credibility of: 1. Frankie just happening upon the statement in the yearbook? 2. Leon fading out of the picture just in time for a Valentine`s decision maker? (I was commenting to my wife before the preview that Leon wasn`t even mentioned last night.) 3. Molly`s "aren`t I adorable" affectations whenever Fire Man comes around? Neither professional nor consistent with her character. 4. The father/son relationship "conveniently" being available for Molly and Sean to get together? I didn`t think the son`s behavior was beleivable. If "ED" is going to remain the show we have come to love, to me it needs to continue to avoid the "easy" pitfalls that every other shows fall into. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/edsedfanclub/

Great episode. Love the chemistry brewing between Frankie and Ed. She was a great addition to the show. Only complaint...where are the rest of the smaller but integral characters....Mike, Nancy, Warren, Mark, etc... We need the ten dollar bets. Can`t wait till next week.

Great episode. The chemistry between Frankie and Ed is awesome, although Ed and Carol will always be the couple I cheer for in the end. Frankie`s character does a great job at making me confused as to who I like Ed with, however. Court scene was great as well. Very good episode, I look forward to next week.

I think this episode was great becuase it showed a little bit of Ed and Carol, yet not overwhelmingly so. The court scene was great because it is something different from the normal trials Ed usually has. The Frankie and Ed thing was very good as well, even though I really enjoy Ed and Carol together. After all that Ed has gone through to win Carol, it would be nice to see Carol pursue Ed a little bit. And of course Molly, maybe a little unrealistic, but still it`s great to see her hooking up with someone. All in all, great episode.

Another solid, but unspectacular episode of `Ed`. The court case was interesting if only for the added drama of Ed handling his first criminal case. While the decision wasn`t in doubt, I did like the way Ed `n Frankie worked together. William Sadler made a fine prosecutor and looked a little slimey, as he always does. One note on the trial, did you notice Mike & Nancy in the courtroom for the decision? It was kinda hard since they wound up not saying anything. In fact, you see them leave the courtroom without even waiving at Ed (to be fair, I might have missed something with all the cutaways that happened at the end). The Molly bit was a little hard for me to take. I mean, it`s Biff from "Back to the Future" for cryin out loud. Still, he does come off as less of a jerk (as I would expect) this time around. And his son does deserve a talking to, as Molly did. But Biff`s entrance into his son`s room to announce that he was online with him was just too much. A lot of regulars were missing in action this time around. Including Shirley, who`s still my fave character. I`m not much of a `shipper (Farscape term for those who enjoy the `romantic` aspects of the show), but I would say that Frankie makes a nice companion for Ed. At least she seems like less trouble than Carol. Of course, I always thought Molly was even better but hey, she`s got Biff now. Anyway, I did enjoy this episode and am looking forward to next week.

This was an excellent episode. By raising the courtroom stakes i.e. a murder trial the episode focused on Ed`s doubts v others` (Eli, Carol, Frankie) faith in him. The Carol - Frankie triangle element was very good and creates theoretical suspense as to what the future holds for these 3 characters. The molly - fireman storyline was refreshing although not terribly realistic. The acting was great and had major boosts from guests such as the defendant and the prosecutor. Finally I liked the way the Ed - Carol thing was there to observe but not in your face. great stuff.

The episode of ED was not what the ads made it out to be. I thought by the ads Carol was going to try to get back together with ED. I did like the way that Carol keeps on dropping hints that she likes him now. But we will just have to wait till next week and see what Ed does. If I was Ed, this is not choice, ......Carol. Once you care for a person that much, their is no turing back now. Just throw her some waffels..
