Synopsis
Ed (Tom Cavanagh) is torn between his longing for Carol (Julie Bowen) and his budding romance with the beautiful assistant district attorney Bonnie (guest star Rena Sofer, "Melrose Place") but his relationships really get awkward when he tries to retrieve Carol`s expensive stolen music box by pushing Bonnie to get involved -- allowing the two women to finally meet and size each other up. Back at the alley, young Warren (guest star Justin Long) is rejected and dejected when he tries to join a bowling league team with a pretty classmate and instead is forced to sign up with a team of older, gross and unkempt members.

Overview
Bonnie and Ed continue to form their new relationship, though Ed continues to find Bonnie`s alternately frosty and warm demeanors confusing and frustrating. Their courtroom arguments continue, even when they`re on the same side of the case involving Carol`s stolen music box. In the end, Ed and Bonnie cement their relationship in a more permanent way. Warren continues trying to make inroads with Jessica, who is still with the football types at Stuckeyville High. He signs up for a bowling league to try to spend time with her, but gets put on a different team. Phil and Ed both help Warren along the road to romance. Nancy and Mike have a deal involving throwing out any items which haven`t been used or worn in the last 5 years. Mike tries to wear and use everything he owns, so as not to have to throw it out. Molly continues to get tough on Carol, regarding her feelings about Ed and Bonnie`s blossoming amour.

Trivia
Ten Bucks
Mike bets Ed he can`t approach a stranger on a park bench and touch the man`s bald spot (Ed up $50).

Legal Update
Ed gets Bonnie involved in the case involving Carol`s music box. The case against their suspect is weak, until Ed convinces him to confess.

Stubbs Schemes
Phil tries to get Jessica, Steve, and their bowling partners to give him $100 in exchange for allowing them to sign up for a league.

Fine Food and Drink
Episode 13 was a gastric delight: bundt cake, calamari, beef jerky, gnocchi, egg rolls, nacho cheese, wonton soup, kielbasa, buckets of fried chicken, and hot dogs. Ed and Matt imbibed Rob Roys and martinis.

Nicknames
Trish Matatopolis, of the Badass Cowboys Bowling League, dubs Warren "Lucky Charm". Warren calls Phil "Stubby" as he attempts to get Phil to put him on Jessica`s team. Warren later calls Ed "Eric".

Dave Alert!
The name of the bar, Hurley`s, is a reference from the old NBC days: Dave used to send the camera crew on assorted errands to a Rockefeller Center bar of the same name.
